Community Guidelines
Psephia is intended to be a place for open discussion, voting, debate and disagreement. We welcome strong opinions, humour, parody and criticism. We do not allow content or behaviour that puts users at risk, breaks the law, or undermines the integrity of the platform.
1. Respect other users
Do not bully, harass, threaten, intimidate or deliberately target other people with abuse. Repeated unwanted contact, pile-ons, incitement against an individual, or content intended to cause fear or distress may be removed.
2. No illegal content or criminal behaviour
You must not use Psephia to post, promote, organise or encourage illegal activity. This includes, but is not limited to, threats of violence, harassment, fraud, terrorism, child sexual abuse material, extreme pornography, hate offences, doxxing, blackmail, stalking, and unlawful sale or promotion of illegal goods or services.
3. No fraud, scams or deception
Do not use Psephia to trick, defraud or mislead people. This includes phishing, fake giveaways, fake investment schemes, false fundraising, impersonation for gain, and any attempt to obtain money, data, passwords or personal information dishonestly.
4. Impersonation, parody and misleading identity
Whilst parody accounts are acceptable, any accounts that intentionally impersonate public figures, businesses, public bodies, charities, media organisations or other organisations in a misleading way will be suspended.
You must not pretend to be another real person in a way that is likely to deceive others, cause harm, damage reputation, or assist fraud. We may ask users to change usernames, profile details or content that creates a misleading impression.
5. Hate, extremism and incitement
We do not allow content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or hatred against people based on protected characteristics. Content that encourages violence, glorifies serious harm, or stirs up hatred may be removed and reported where appropriate.
6. Privacy and personal information
Do not post someone else’s private or confidential information without permission. This includes home addresses, private phone numbers, private email addresses, financial details, identity documents, workplace details where shared maliciously, or other personal data that could be used to harass or harm.
7. Defamation and false allegations
Do not use Psephia to make serious allegations about a person or organisation unless you have a lawful basis and can support what you are saying. False or reckless accusations can cause serious harm and may result in content removal or account action.
8. Manipulation and platform abuse
Do not attempt to manipulate polls, evade bans, create fake engagement, mass-create accounts, use bots without permission, scrape the platform unlawfully, or interfere with the security or operation of the site.
9. Spam and low-quality abuse
Do not post repetitive, irrelevant or disruptive content. This includes mass posting, promotional spam, link spam, and content designed mainly to mislead, clutter the platform or degrade the user experience.
10. Enforcement
We may remove content, limit reach, require profile changes, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who break these guidelines. In serious cases, we may preserve evidence and report matters to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
11. Reporting
If you believe content or an account breaches these guidelines, please report it through the available reporting channels. We review reports and may act without notice where necessary to protect users, comply with the law, or maintain the integrity of the platform.
12. A note on the law
These guidelines are a general platform standard and not a full statement of UK law. They are intended to support safe use of Psephia and may be updated as the platform develops.
